The Runnymede Trust invites you to Britain’s Private Shame, an uncensored look at Britain’s colonial past. The event asks how, in a post-Brexit world, should we treat the legacy of the British Empire?
Join the Runnymede Trust and their panel as they question why so much of history stays hidden, and whether the truth of these histories should lead to shame, reflection and reparations – or instil pride and inspiration. The panel will be chaired by writer Zahra Dalilah, who will be joined by panellists:
- Lowkey, activist and MC
- David Goodhart, author and journalist
- Dr Gurminder Bhambra, professor, University of Sussex
- Remi Adekoya, journalist and commentator.
