Trades Union Congress report: Women’s Rights, the risks of Brexit

In March 2016, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) published a short report (pdf) on how Britain’s EU membership has significantly improved the rights of women at work.

The report found that EU law has extended rights to equal pay and strengthened protection from sex discrimination. It has also improved the treatment of pregnant women and new mothers in the workplace and introduced new entitlements for parents to take time off.
