Macmillan campaign: Your rights at work

A recent YouGov survey for Macmillan found that less than 50% of people diagnosed with cancer were aware that the Equality Act protects people with cancer from discrimination in the workplace. The Rights at Work campaign aims to raise awareness amongst people with cancer of their rights in the workplace.

If you have or have had cancer, you are protected from unfair treatment by the Equality Act 2010 (or the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and its extension the Disability Discrimination Order of 2006 if you live in Northern Ireland). Macmillan Cancer Support’s free guide can help you to understand your rights at work..
