The Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities wishes to appoint up to three Non-Executive Commissioners to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). Applications close on 12 September 2017.
The EHRC is a statutory body established under the Equality Act 2006. It operates independently to encourage equality and diversity, eliminate unlawful discrimination, and protect and promote human rights.
Post-holders will work with the Chair and Chief Executive to set the strategic direction of the EHRC, scrutinise the statutory body’s performance as well as comply with the Cabinet Office’s Code of Conduct for Board Members of Public Bodies.
