The Discrimination Law Association is holding its AGM on 6 February 2017 from 6.00 pm at 7br chambers, 7 Bedford Row, London WC1R 4BS.
The advert for the event is as follows:
“We are very delighted to announce that David Isaac CBE, recently appointed Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, has agreed to be our guest speaker. David will be speaking on the subject of “the role of the Equality and Human Rights Commission in a changing environment” and will be happy to take questions afterwards – it promises to be a fascinating talk.
David is a partner at law firm Pinsent Masons and was previously Chair of Stonewall from 2003 to 2012. He is also Chair of Modern Art Oxford, a Director of the Big Lottery Fund and a Trustee of 14-18 Now. David was awarded a CBE in the 2011 Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to equality and diversity.
It will help us very much in planning numbers of ballot papers and glasses of wine if you will let us know if you are able (or unable) to attend. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Non-members are welcome to attend this event but only DLA members will be eligible to vote (NB. one vote only per membership).
Wine, soft drinks and nibbles will be provided.
The conference room at 7br has wheelchair access, cloakroom facilities and an induction loop for those with disabilities. If you require any reasonable adjustments to be made for this meeting, for example information in large print or electronic copies, please contact Chris Atkinson at the DLA office.”
