The government is to undertake a full public consultation on the issue of caste and the Equality Act 2010. A key aim of the consultation will be to obtain the views of the public on whether additional measures are needed to ensure victims of caste discrimination have appropriate legal protection and effective remedies under the 2010 Equality Act.

The European Network Against Racism (ENAR) produced a report ‘Forgotten Women’ on the impact of Islamophobia on Muslim women in June 2016.
The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) published its 2015 annual report in May 2016.
On 11 May 2016 the Youth Select Committee announced a new inquiry into racism and religious discrimination. The deadline for submissions passed on 31 May 2016.
