EDF’s free electronic newsletter is emailed every two to three weeks to a growing number of subscribers, including: local authority,health and educational service providers; voluntary organisation workers; lawyers; academics; government officials and individuals with an interest in equality and human rights. The newsletter contains information about new equality and human rights developments, policy and publications, as well as details of forthcoming events and job vacancies. Please note that EDF does not endorse the content of the links in the newsletter.

Research by the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) published in August 2010 ‘shows that, once all of the benefit cuts are considered, the tax and benefit changes announced in the emergency Budget are clearly regressive as, on average, they hit the poorest households more than those in the upper-middle of the income distribution in cash, let alone percentage, terms’.
